What is the estimated time of delivery ?

It is a very common question by most of the questions. But please understand it in a practical way. Delivery of a product totally depends over the location from where it has been shipped and the destination, just like when you are sending something to someone through courier. For example, the seller of a particular product A is located at Delhi and the customer belongs to Punjab then it won’t take much time to deliver. But in case, the customer is from South India or North East side, then it may take a bit time to deliver. Although, Flipkart shares the estimated delivery time as well before ordering it.

Now the question is, how Flipkart is making delivery possible within 1-2 days? Flipkart is actually storing products to their nearby seller hubs which are also known as fulfilment centers. They try to make it as much as close can be to the targeting customers. It makes delivery quite smooth.

Delayed Delivery

Sometimes products get delivered late, in fact even after the estimated delivery time. In that case, you should check your registered mobile’s sms section or email account. New deliver time must have been sent you through those. Otherwise, go to My Orders and track the status of your order, updated delivery time must be there as well.

Open, Check & Accept / Return ?

Alot of customers ask whether they can open a package at the time of delivery and check if everything is perfect and upto the mark or not. Since, several incidents has been seen where customers got soaps, bricks etc. instead of their desired products. And they find it very complicated and none of the customer want to get busy in such incident, specially prepaid customers.

What company policy says over it ? It has been clearly mentioned that customer can open and check the package anytime when it is in his hand. But it can’t be returned at that particular time and through that courier person. If you find something wrong with the package keep it and raise a query immediately from your Flipkart account or contact the customer support team.

Cancel an Order

How can you cancel an order? Here is what you have to do.

  • Go to My Account –> Orders
  • Check that order and click on Cancel button

Order Cancel button is not working 

There are high chances that cancel button might not be working at the time of cancellation. Company tells two reasons behind that.

  1. The item would have been delivered.
  2. Item doesn’t lie in refundable category.

We suggest you to cancel the item as soon as you realise that you don’t need it. By the time the chances of canceling the order gets lower and for refunds as well. Though you have other option as well which is called Return.

How to cancel order after delivery

Cancellation after delivery is not possible, either you can replace that item after returning it or apply for refund.

How to return & get replacement / refund?

Returning an item has two categories, Replacement & Refund. Let’s tell you about both of them, individually:


  • To get a replacement, go to My Orders, select the order create return request and ask for replacement.
  • Usually in most of the areas, replacements are being made at the time of return pick-up. In other areas, it doesn’t take more than a couple of days, usually after request has been made.
  • Return and replacement policies depend on the seller, i.e. 7 days or 10 days etc. After this period neither you can request for return nor replace it.


  • For refunds, you need to be clear with your issue at the time of requesting it. In case, company doesn’t feel you have a valid concern, you might have the only option left is Replacement.

When You Get Returns Easily

  • If customer has asked for replacement or has been authorised for it and seller was unable to process it. Flipkart is liable to provide you refund in this case.
  • In case of open box deliveries, if customer found the product damaged and you will be given 100% refund on the spot. If you have accepted the open box delivery then no return request can be made unless there is any manufacturing defect in the product.
  • There are several products in which Flipkart’s service partners provide installation service. Customers are advised not to open the package. Flipkart suggest that their authorised personnel will help customers in unboxing and installation of products.
  • In case of furnitures, Flipkart says authorised service personal will visit the customer’s location and check the product. It will be totally free of cost. In case the Flipkart service personal finds genuine defect then company will either replace or refund, only if service personal allows.

  • Flipkart may try to resolve issues of these products through online tools, telephonic support or visit by technician.
  • If it get’s resolves through any of the above mentioned ways, it will not get returned.
  • In case, the product doesn’t lie under possible troubleshoot category, it will be returned and replaced by the company within 10 days.
  • If any customer has found any defect in product after 10 days of purchase, Flipkart will refer them to company’s service center.

For functionality related issues, you are supposed to contact the authorised service centers of that brand / company.

Grocery Return Period : 10 days

Action : Refund only

Fruits and Vegetables ordered would be delivered only in the first attempt. In order to ensure that you get fresh fruits and vegetables, we will not be making reattempts to deliver your fruits and veggies in case you miss your slot. Rest of grocery items from Supermart would be delivered through reattempt in case you miss your slot.

Try & Buy Return Period : 10 days

Action : Refund only

Try & Buy feature actually depends if the ordered product lies under it. Please check carefully before purchasing it.

Missed Delivery

If courier person tried to deliver and you were not available at your location to receive it. They will try to deliver it again on next business day. You can also check the sms inbox of the registered number. You will be informed through that. In case, you can’t find the sms as well, you must contact the customer service team of Flipkart.

How to deactivate Flipkart account?

So, you don’t need a Flipkart account anymore and closing it can be a wise decision sometimes. Because several people have stored there debit card, credit card, net banking, wallet and several other details submitted in their profile. Though company claims it is perfectly secured, but still for your satisfaction you may close it.

This process explains how can you close or deactivate your Flipkart account. Just follow below mentioned steps.

  1. First of all login into your Flipkart account using your email id and password.
  2. Go to My Account –> Settings and click on Deactivate.
  3. Enter your current password.
  4. Click on Confirm Deactivation.

This process deactivates your account, neither you nor anyone else will be able to access your account in future.

Warranty of product

Flipkart Warranty Related Queries

If you have you forgotten the warranty details of product which you have purchased from Flipkart. And want to know where can you check that. Flipkart suggests you to check the brand website of that particular product for those details. The product invoice which you may have received at the time of purchase can be used to claim warranty, services and support from any authorised service centre of that particular brand / company.


How can you check about the cashback, if it has been applied with your order or not?  Here is it
